Myra Bennett

November 13, 1959 — January 17, 2025

Myra Kail Bennett, 65, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at NEA Baptist Hospital. Born on November 13, 1959, in Alamo, Tennessee, she was the beloved daughter of the late Wilber and Mary Kail.

A proud Veteran of the United States Navy, Myra served her country honorably as a Jet Engine Mechanic. Her dedication and work ethic were admired by all who knew her.

Myra’s greatest joy was being a grandmother, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandson, Declan. Known for her warmth and nurturing spirit, she was a second mom to her son’s friends and an active presence in his life, participating in school activities and booster clubs. Her love for family extended to the kitchen, where her chicken and dumplings and gumbo became legendary among loved ones.

An avid fisherwoman, Myra found peace and happiness in the great outdoors. Her kind heart, generous nature, and unwavering devotion to family and friends will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Bennett, and his wife, Madelyn, of Jonesboro; her sisters, Lorraine Kail of Alamo, Tennessee, and Martha Henderson of Huntington, Tennessee; and her cherished grandson, Declan Allen Bennett.

In accordance with her wishes, all services will be private.

Myra’s legacy of love, service, and family will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
