Mother Evangelist Sarah C. Vaughn

Mother Evangelist Sarah Vaughn born to David Smith and Annie Bell Buckhannon in Clearlake, AR (Presently Blytheville, AR) on October 25 ^th , 1941. She departed from this earth and went up to the Glory of the Lord on August 30 ^th , 2018 at the age of 76.

Mother Evangelist Vaughn resided in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was a retired CNA, a member of Dominion World Outreach Ministries in Marion, AR under Dr. Sharon Nesbitt where she attended faithfully until 2013 due to illnesses. She was also a previous member of Agape Ministries in Osceola, AR under the leadership of Evangelist Doris Jacobs in Osceola, AR. Also, a former member of Solomon Temple in Osceola, AR under the leadership of Pastor Albert Veasley. She was the faithful wife of Minister Leonard Ray Vaughn until his death in 2007. Loving mother of eight and spiritual mother of many; Sarah, although her health was failing, her mind remained active and sound, praising God as a strong prayer intercessor and warrior for the Lord. She continued to enjoy life doing amateur photography and making flower arrangements for her garden.

Those left behind to mourn her passing are her children, Willie Braxton (Alejandra) of Russellville, AR, Lonnie Green, Gerald Star (Debra) of Madison, Wisconsin, Felicia Vaughn of Jonesboro, AR, Sonia McMiller (Keith) of Jonesboro, AR, Jonathan Vaughn of Jonesboro, AR, Tambela Vaughn of Jonesboro, AR; her grandchildren, Shemeka Green, Laurinia Whitfield, Weldon Braxton, Maria Oates, Mariah Oates, Jolan Vaughn, and Jalan Vaughn; her great grandchildren, Cassius Burton and Braxton Washington; her siblings, Charles Green (Lura) of Madison, Wisconsin, Reenella Walker (Jameil) of Houston Texas, Eddie Green (Mary) of Madison, Wisconsin, Lula Mae Jones, and Janie Hughes, both of Flint, Michigan, J.D. (Connie) Smith, Willie (Erinne) Smith, Harry (Geraldine) Joe, and Maurice Blakes; her spiritual sisters and best friends, Cora Frasier, Teddie Brownlee (Joe), and Florence Williams (Walter) AKA Mickey; and a whole host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceded in death by her mother, Annie Bell Buckhannon; Adopted father, Ethereal Green; Biological Father, David Smith; husband, Leonard Vaughn; son , Anthony Vaughn; seven siblings who passed as children; brothers, Morris Green, John Eddie Green, David Smith, Andrew Joe Jr, and James Thomas Green; sisters, Mary Smith and Lorraine Green.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home with Pastor Doris Jacobs of Agape Ministries of Marion officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

The visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
