Morris Elvin Corter

Morris E. Corter Sr., 82, of Jonesboro died on December 30 at St. Elizabeth’s Place in Jonesboro.

He was born in Mammoth Springs and lived in Jonesboro since 2008. He attended the Community of Christ kids Bible Club in Jonesboro, and was retired from Beatrice State Development Center in Beatrice Nebraska where he worked for 23 years.

Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Etter Greer Corter; four brothers, Julius, Oscar, William, and Jesse Corter; two sisters, Emma Hobgood and Thelma Major; one son, Kerry Wayne Corter; and one daughter, Romana Corter.

Survivors include four daughters, Regina, Rebecca, Rena, and Lisa Marie; two sons, Harvey and Elvin Corter; a sister, Marjorie Latino; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at 4 pm, Sunday, January 6th, at the Community of Christ Kids Bible Club, 108 W. Woodrow Street in Jonesboro.
