Monalie Hutchins Pruitt

Monalie Pruitt went home to be with her Lord on 2-20-23 at the age of 88 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years Marvin Pruitt, a sister Ruby Wiles as well as her parents Luther Hutchins and Jessie Hatcher Hutchins. She leaves behind on this Earth 3 children, John Pruitt (Sheila), Betty Ann Walker (Johnny) and Janet Hart (Calvin). Also 3 grandchildren, Pamela Whittaker (Michael), Christin Hart and Rexford Lawrence (Chris). 3 great grandchildren, Kylen Whittaker (Benton Rogers), Emily Whittaker (William Sparks) and John Cameron Whittaker.

Also, sisters Carolyn Rutledge and Marcella King. Also dear to her were her nephew Paul Eastworth (Tammy) and his children Brittney and Crystal as well as step grandchildren Melanie Andrews (Matt), Zachary Hadi, Sarah Hinkson and. Step great grandchildren Jarred Rasdon (Hannah), Sasha Jarrett, Shianne Webb, Ethan Hadi, Fiona Hinkson, Sloane Lane, Cody Andrews, Jacob Andrews. Step great great grandchildren Karson Kulagouski, Lizzy Kulagouski, Paxton Jarrett, HeartLee Jarrett, Max Rasdon, Kenna Rasdon. Many nieces and nephews would call her Aunt and many others simply Dear Friend throughout her life.

Mrs. Pruitt (nee Hutchins) was born in the Bee Branch Community, in Van Buren County on March 11, 1934. She was a homemaker and mother, and dedicated secretary to Apostolic Life Tabernacle in Paragould Arkansas for many years. She was dedicated in her faith and belief in Jesus Christ as her Savior and is even now walking with Him in His glory.

She will be escorted to her final earthly resting place at Philadelphia Cemetery, Craighead County Arkansas by Pall Bearers Michael Whittaker, Kylen Whittaker, Paul Eastworth, William Sparks, Michael Anchor, Tanner Brewer, Tony Robinson and Joe Thomas until such time that she is awakened and called forth by the trumpet blast announcing the return of her Lord and King Jesus. At that time, we hope to rejoin her in God’s blessed Heaven.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Central Community Baptist Church, 15775 AR-163, Harrisburg, AR 72432.  Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time.  Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Jonesboro.
