Mona Kay

Mona Dobbs Kay, 84, departed from this life on May 31, 2019. She was born on July 1, 1934 to the late Marvin and Bessie Dobbs of Hoxie.

Mona worked for the Social Security Administration for 23 years. Upon retiring she spent time traveling abroad as well as across the states. In later years she enjoyed getting together with her Wednesday card club group. She was an active member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Kay, and her sisters Mary Lou Shockley and Jean Fix.

She is survived by her daughter Ricky (Curtis) Miller of Jonesboro, granddaughter Audra (Mansel Jr.) Doyle of Jonesboro, and sisters Pat Nichols of Hoxie and Shirley Lowe of Wasilla, Alaska.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday June 4, 2019 in the Emerson Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Kathy Holler officiating.
