Mona Caldwell Goodman, 76, of Jonesboro, died Friday at Baptist Memorial Medical Center in Memphis.
Born in Batesville, Mona lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She worked many years in The Donut Shop, located at Nettleton and Flint streets in Jonesboro, which her parents established. She later worked with her husband Jay Goodman, in pastry shops in Hot Springs and Jonesboro.
Mona was a member of Windover Baptist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution in the Jonesboro chapter and the Hot Springs chapter where she served as Regent. She enjoyed growing vegetable gardens and flower gardens and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay “Goody” Goodman.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Sharron Haggenmacher (Scott) of Jonesboro, and Melinda
De Roeck (Roger) of Austin, Texas;
1 son, Ronnie Goodman of Conway;
1 brother, Paul Caldwell (Patricia) of Jonesboro;
6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Dr. Winfred Bridges officiating.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
