Molly Evans

Molly Evans, 78, of Jonesboro passed from this life Sunday, May 18, 2014 at her home. Molly was born in Decatur, Alabama on August 18, 1935 to the late Earnest and Katherine Tunstill. She had lived in California and Arkansas both for over 30 years. Molly was of the Baptist belief. She loved flowers, gardening, drawing, and crocheting. Molly also had a dog named Samson she loved very much.


In addition to her parents Molly was preceded in death by 2 daughters, 1 brother, and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband Jim Evans of the home after nearly 34 years of marriage, one son; David Jones of Jonesboro, daughters; Kathy Cole of Jonesboro, Teresa Whitener of Newark, stepson; Anthony Evans of California, sisters; Ann Chesser, Peggy Johnson and Brenda Haymes all of Pocahontas, brothers; Jimmy Tunstill and Jerry Tunstill both of Michigan, 7 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Jimmy Tunstill officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers include James Haggenmacher, Hunter Douglas, Michael Cox, Tyler Cox, Jake Jones, and Larry Jones.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
