Modean Weathers, 80 of Caraway, passed from this life Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Marshall, Arkansas to Clyde and Nettie Harkins Horton, October 30, 1939. Modean worked the production line at Basler Electric and was a member of the Assembly of God. She enjoyed her family, listening to country music and cooking Sunday dinner. Modean is preceded in death by her husband, Shelba; sons, Rodger and Kennny Weathers and brothers, Wilford, Buster and Lewis Horton and Raymond Hightower.
Survivors include grandsons, Cody Weathers and Caleb (Megan) Weathers of Caraway; daughter-in-law, Barbara Weathers; great granddaughter, McKinlee Weathers; brother, Freddie (Shirley) Horton of Marshall; sisters, Jeweldean Sanders of Russellville, Barbara (Tony) Rezniced of Marshall and Rita (Randy) Treadwell of Marshall and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service Friday, September 18, 2020 at Caraway Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Gary Anderson speaking. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Byron Hitchcock, Kris Kelton, Clayton Miller, Kenny Qualls. Honorary pallbearers are Darrel Anderson, Timmy Brickell, Danny Dunigan, Hunter Miller and Bill Shirley.
There will be no visitation.
