Mitchell Faught, 77, of Jonesboro, died July 15, 2013 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Born in Bono, he had lived in this area his entire life. He was the owner/operator of Faught’s Flowers for 47 years. Mitchell loved going to his grandchildren’s activities and enjoyed watching sports. Mitchell enjoyed boating and fishing on the lake. He was a people person and was a friend to all he met. He always had a great story to tell and enjoyed the time spent with his coffee buddies. Mitchell was a true family man who enjoyed being a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Mitchell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha Faught; his son, Brad Faught; and daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Ann & Eric Ford; his grandchildren, Britney Faught, Kyle Faught, Dylan Ford, Colin Ford, Gavin Ford, all of Jonesboro; and his sister, Naomi Bales of Bono.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Lessie Lakey Faught; and a sister, Nina Schofield.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Entombment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Mausoleum. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Thursday 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
