Misty Michelle Martin, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of those whose lives she touched. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave so freely will remain with us forever.

Born on June 10, 1979, Misty was a truly beautiful soul, inside and out. She was the kind of person who made the world feel a little softer simply by being in it. She was kind, unconditionally loving, and so gentle-hearted that she wouldn’t hurt a fly. Misty had a heart that always seemed to have room for everyone else. She would give the shirt off her back without thinking twice, and she had a way of putting the needs and happiness of others before her own.

To know Misty was to know genuine kindness. She was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet, and her love was never conditional. She loved deeply, forgave easily, and gave without expecting anything in return. Her family was her greatest joy, and some of her happiest moments were spent simply being silly and making memories with the people she loved.

In her younger years, Misty was an artist and an athlete, and she had a natural ability to make friends wherever she went. That same warmth followed her throughout her life. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

For nearly 20 years, Misty dedicated herself to ABB, where she worked as a supervisor. She was deeply loved and respected by her colleagues and by everyone who had the privilege of working for or alongside her. Her leadership was not only defined by her work ethic, but by the compassion and kindness she showed to the people around her. She left an impression on countless lives, and she will be remembered not simply as a supervisor, but as a person who genuinely cared.

Misty found joy in the little things. She loved being silly with her family, laughing and making memories that will now be treasured forever. She could hardly keep her emotions in when a child on America’s Got Talent received a Golden Buzzer, because her heart was always tender toward others and their dreams. And she especially cherished every moment she spent with her dad. Those memories will become precious reminders of the bond they shared.

Misty’s greatest role, however, was being a mother and a wife. She loved her children with everything she had. She leaves behind her daughter, Kelsey Pitts (Tyler Wineland); her son, Cody Morgan; and her stepdaughter, Emma Martin. She also leaves behind her beloved grandson, James Wineland, who brought a special kind of joy and love into her life. Her husband, Kevin Martin, was by her side in the life they shared together, and he will carry with him the countless memories and love they built together.

Misty is survived by her husband, Kevin Martin; her daughter, Kelsey Pitts (Tyler Wineland); her son, Cody Morgan; her stepdaughter, Emma Martin; her grandson, James Wineland; her father, Ronnie Rollins; and her sister, Christy Floyd, along with many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will forever miss her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Kimberly Rollins.

There are some people whose absence cannot be described simply by saying they will be missed. Misty was one of those people. Her absence will be felt in the quiet moments, in family gatherings, in laughter, in the little things that remind us of her, and in every act of kindness that carries a piece of the love she gave so freely.

Although our hearts are broken that she is no longer here, we can find comfort in knowing that the love Misty gave throughout her life does not end with her passing. It lives on in her children, her grandson, her husband, her father, her sister, her family, her friends, and in every person who was fortunate enough to know her.

Misty gave more love than she ever asked for in return. She made people feel loved simply by loving them. And though we would give anything to have more time with her, we will spend the rest of our lives carrying her love with us.

She was deeply loved.
She was truly one of a kind.
And she will never, ever be forgotten.

There will be a visitation held for Misty from 2-4 on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Emerson Funeral Home.
