Misty Leigh Turpin

Misty Leigh Turpin, 41, of Ormond Beach, Florida, was born to Danny Turpin and Janice Gray on May 28, 1976 in Jonesboro, AR. She left this world way too early on November 8, 2017, in Ormond Beach.

Misty was a 1994 graduate of Nettleton High School where she was a cheerleader, Class Favorite, member of the Homecoming Court and active in several other social clubs. She attended Arkansas State University and Black River Technical College and earned an associates degree and worked as a paralegal. Misty was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Orville and Pauline Turpin, and maternal grandfather, Wiley Gray.

Misty is survived by her son, Dylan Wann of Ormond Beach;
Fiancé Michael Shiffman of Ormond Beach;
Parents: Janice and Billy Williams of Brookland, and
Danny and Dianne Turpin of Jonesboro;
1 brother, Dustin Turpin of Brookland;
maternal grandmother, Evelyn Gray of Brookland;
3 step brothers and their wives: Roger and Lori Williams, Duane and Shelly Williams and Jason and Nicole Stone;
5 aunts and their spouses: Barbara Gray, Nona and Jerry Tolbert, Gail and Fred Flemon, Geraldine and Joe Farmer, Willa Jean Grammar and
1 uncle, Jackie Turpin.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Andy Shatley presiding. Burial will follow in Sweet Moments Cemetery near Goobertown. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time in Emerson Chapel.

Active pallbearers include cousins Sean Tolbert and Allen Flemon, best friends Justin Berg and Derek Lueallen, and step brothers Roger Williams, Duane Williams and Jason Stone.

Honorary pallbearers include cousin Adam Edmonds, Dylan's best friends from Florida: Anthony Sanford, Austin Fletcher, Jacob Coombs, Noah Motto and Hannah Gold; Mike and Debbie Carter, Dora and George Edings and Fred Flemon and Jerry Tolbert.
