Miranda Mclain Laughton

Miranda McLain Laughton, 30, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. She had lived most of her life in Jonesboro and attended Central Baptist Church. She was a 2003 graduate of Arkansas State University and received her master’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis in 2004. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter and granddaughter.

Miranda was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Ruby and Hallie Newcom; Ethel and W. H. Perkins; grandmother, Annabelle Freeman and a cousin Lisa Lamkin Murray.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Laughton, of the home, one son Nathan McLain, also of the home; Parents, Gene and Julia Heath, Jonesboro; stepson, Aidan Laughton, Harrisburg; stepdaughters Ashley Laughton and McKenzie Laughton, both of Harrisburg; one sister, Brittney Heath Fanning and husband Matthew, Jonesboro; grandparents, Bill and Flora Heath, Jonesboro, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Bob Heath officiating and burial to follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers are Chad Neeley, Adam Jasinski, Eric Jasinski, Marc Barrett, Jason Neeley, Joshua Neeley, Jason McLain, Rodney Lamkin, Brennan Heath, Brandon Heath and Charles Goza. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 Saturday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
