Mildred Chrismon Powers

Mildred Chrismon Powers, 71, of Jonesboro died Sunday evening. Mildred J. Noah was born in Memphis, TN on April 27, 1935 to Thomas and Polly Noah. She worked for and retired from the United States Postal Service, with her Civil Service ending in Jonesboro, AR. Mildred is survived by her husband Doyle Powers of Paragould AR, 4 children: Sherry (Mickey) Monsey of Wortham, TX, Wanda (Dennis)Dunham of Elgin, MN, Larry(Lori) Chrismon of Grant, Alabama, Guy(Karen) Chrismon of North Branch, MN. 3 stepsons: Nick, Calvin and Jay Powers all of Jonesboro, AR, 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandsons and 4 great granddaughters, 2 sisters also survive: Flora Owen of Brighton, TN and Ruth Warrick of Seguine, TX.

Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband Larry J. Chrismon Sr. her parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. The funeral service will be at the Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Jody McFadden and her grandson, Caleb Dunham of Minnesota officiating. Burial will be at Pine Knot Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.


Active pallbearers will be David Chrismon, Guy Chrismon, Larry Chrismon, Dennis Dunham, Jay Powers, and Jeremy Whitely.
