Mildred Marie Hooker, 88, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday April 27, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.
She was born in Trumann, Arkansas and had lived in Jonesboro area most of her life. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church and had worked several years for Emerson Electric and Pontiac Chair Co in Pontiac, Illinois. She was a loving mother to her children, loved her flowers, sewing and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Hooker, parents Claude and Fannie Belle Thomas Costley, 2 brothers, Bryan and Avis Adren Costley.
Survived by her daughters, Joyce Neyman and Mary Corrigan both of Jonesboro. Barbara Hinkle of Yukon, Oklahoma and Patsy Long of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Two brothers, Claude Costley of Trumann and Bill Costley of Searcy.
Two sisters, Irene Campbell of Tuckerman and Betty Cook of Trumann.
Seven grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 1, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Mike Martin and Matt Neyman officiating. Burial will be at Holly Springs Cemetery, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Friday April 30, at Emerson Funeral Home.
