Mildred L. Mcdaniel

Mildred Louise McDaniel, 93, a life-long resident of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.  She was of the Baptist belief.  She was born in Jonesboro on November 23, 1929 to Roswell and Carie Mae Hopkins.  She was retired from General Electric and was very proud to have been one of the first ten people hired at the Jonesboro plant.  A lot of her enjoyment came from watching television and playing word search games.  Her favorite passion was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. McDaniel and one brother Tommy Hopkins.

Survivors include her daughter,  Carie Barker and her husband Dr. Rick Barker of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Tiffany Kauffman, Ricky Dale Barker, Jody Barker; one great grandchild, Dexter Kauffman, sister-in-law, Mary Lou Hopkins, and several nieces and nephews.
