Mildred Hatch “Millie” Griffin, 84, of Conway, formerly of Lake City, died Wednesday morning at Conway Regional Hospital.
Born in Arbyrd, Missouri, Millie moved to Michigan in 1955 and worked several years for Mead Container in Flint before moving to Lake City in 1975. She was a member of Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Horwath, and by 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Dora and Howard Free of Lennon, Michigan;
1 brother and sister-in-law: Dr. Carl and Ruby Hatch of Wichita Falls, Texas;
3 grandchildren: Cheryl Boone, Mark Free and Gregory Free; and
7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 at Refuge Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Lake City Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Jake Gilley, Sam Lee, Dannie McFarland, Rob Chastain,
A.C. Daniel and Pat Bader.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
