Mildred L. Free, 75, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Maryville, Tennessee on November 2, 1943 to Frank and Mary Page. Mildred was a member of Strawfloor Baptist Church and a saleswoman for Avon, having earned several awards for her salesmanship. She loved bowling, dogs, and her grandbabies. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Page; and six siblings.
Mildred is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles Free of Jonesboro; daughters, Kimberly Free (Kevin Pruett) of Jonesboro and Christa Free of Jonesboro; son, Erick Free (Sebrinna) of Bald Knob; grandchildren, Jordan Free and Britney Fortson. Mildred also leaves behind five great grandchildren and several other family and friends.
The visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday starting at 12:30 and going to the start of service at 2:00 p.m.
The funeral service will start at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home with Don Miller and Harold Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Kenneth Hendrix, Jerry Lee, Dewayne Borden, Jason Drum, Dave Sandborn, and David Hopps.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Strawfloor Baptist Church, 1102 Stawfloor Road, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
