Mildred Brunson, 84, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her residence.
Mildred was born on August 22, 1930 in Monette to the late Mirt and Ann Powell Blankenship. She lived most of her life in NE Arkansas, and she was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church. She loved to volunteer at the First Baptist Care Center, and if she wasn’t up at the center she was spending her time cooking or watching a ballgame on TV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, Bill Hout and Vic Brunson; one son, Billy Don Hout; four brothers, Pete, Tom, Charles, and Scotty Blankenship.
She was survived by two daughters, Kathy Holler and Tonya Harris both of Jonesboro; one sister, Lucy Leslie of Southaven, MS; six grandchildren, Brian Hout (Terri)of Ramona, CA, Jeremy Holler (Tina) of Jonesboro, Ramey Harris (Desiree) of Memphis, Ryan Holler (Lindsey) of Decatur, IL, Brandon Harris (Heather) of Memphis, and Allyson Harris of Jonesboro; eight great grandchildren, Travis Holler of Armorel, Ambria Holler of Jonesboro, Ruthie Holler of Decatur, IL, Ella Grace Harris of Jonesboro; Robby Hout, Laura Hout, Taylor Hout, and Billy Hout all of Ramona, California; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be at 10am Friday in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dane Blankenship and Bruce Venable officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeremy Holler, Brandon Harris, Casey Spencer, Aaron Burke, Brandon Wood, and Jason Olsen.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
