Mike Lanier

Mike Lanier, 70, of Jonesboro, passed away on Sunday, May 30 ^, 2021 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born in Little Rock on March 19, 1951 to the late John Cale Lanier and Billie Jean Taylor Lanier. Mike graduated from Carlisle High School and was also a graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Mike was a member of Bono United Methodist Church where he enjoyed good fellowship and singing with the choir.

Mike worked at Sears and managed his Allstate Insurance business for thirty years. He retired as the Manager of the Tobacco Superstore in Jonesboro after working there for 8 years.

Mike was married to his lovely wife Brenda for over fifty years. They enjoyed a happy life together.

Survivors include his wife Brenda of the home, two sons, John Michael Lanier Jr. (Nedra), and Jody Craig Lanier (Shelia), six grandchildren, one great grandchild, two sisters, Debby O’Banion, Tamara McGraw and one brother, Danny Lanier.

A memorial service for Mike will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 3p.m. at the Bono United Methodist Church with Pastor Thomas Dellinger officiating.
