Mike Duncan

August 25, 1951 — June 10, 2025

Mike Duncan, 73, a lifelong resident of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at NEA Baptist Hospital.  He was born in Jonesboro on August 25, 1951, to Hoyt and Frances Duncan.  He was of the Baptist belief.  Mike retired from the Jonesboro Fire Department and was a former Deputy Sheriff and Constable for Craighead County.  Hunting and fishing were a pastime he loved, but he was a die-hard Razorback Basketball fan.  He was a former member of the Old Carter Deer Camp in Hamburg, Arkansas.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jan Duncan of the home; sons, Brett Duncan and Blane Duncan; mother, Frances Duncan Walker;and sister, Lisa Duncan, all of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Madison and Gray.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 2:00 Monday, June 16, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Don Blackmore officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Culbreath, Nick Cox, Brannen Hollis, Brian French, Wade Talley, Penny Best, Brent Carpenter, Scott Perry, C.W. Toombs, Phil Brown, Steve French, former and current members of the Jonesboro Fire Department and former members of the Old Carter Deer Camp. The burial will be private, and the visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.
