Mickey Ronald Marshall

Mickey Ronald Marshall, 75, of Dixie, died Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born on July 30, 1946 in Marshall, Arkansas to Simpson and Alpha Mae Marshall. He moved to Dixie as a young man and graduated from Dixie High School at the age of 16. He served his country in the US Navy. In his career, he worked as a construction supervisor for both BB Vance and C & I Construction and in later years owned and operated the Carpenter’s Shop. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and being outdoors. But his main hobby was chasing his grandchildren and great grandchild. He had a pecan orchard and a pool which everybody enjoyed. It was once said, he lived in his own little slice of heaven. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Tommy Marshall; sister, Ruthie Ross and a nephew, Mark Davis. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patty, of the home; son, Mickey Marshall Jr. and wife MaryDawn of Jonesboro; daughters, Rachel Jones and husband David of Lake City; Sara Milligan and husband Jon of Lake City; brother, Jerry Marshall and wife Kaye of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; sisters, Debra Arnold and husband Tommy of Paragould; Linda Sue Davis and husband, Tommy of Jonesboro; Vickie Lawrence and husband, Galen of Schugtown; Kathy Mae Hafer and husband, Patrick of Dixie; grandchildren, Natalie, Jon Marshall, Hattie, Genesis, Maverick, and Nathan; great grandchild, Tate; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Larry Ward officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with James Hafer, Matthew Hafer, Michael Church, Blake Lawrence, Wesley Lawrence, and Cary Hafer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Neil Arnold.
