Michelle Renee Dacus

Michelle Renee Dacus, 63, of Bay, passed away on August 16, 2024 at her home. She was born on March 17, 1961 to Robert D. Carriglitto and Carolyn S. (Taylor) Carriglitto in Jacksonville, Florida.

A lifetime resident of the Bay and Jonesboro areas, Michelle graduated from Bay High School in 1979 and Arkansas State University in 1982. She was a member of Lunsford Baptist Church.

In 1982, Michelle began her career as a registered nurse and touched many lives over the years. She started out as a labor and delivery nurse in West Memphis and then worked at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for several years. Michelle also worked at NEA Baptist and St. Bernards in Jonesboro during her career. Michelle had a true gift for nursing and was passionate about what she did.

Michelle was a wonderful sister and aunt and was devoted to her family. She will forever be missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Carolyn Carriglitto and her best buddy, her dog, Sugar.

Michelle is survived by her sister, Theresa Keith of Bay; nephew, Eric (Anastasia) Keith of Atlanta and their daughter, Amelia; niece, Kristen (Kevin) Green of Atlanta; cousin, Dawn Barnhill of Fairview; brothers, Michael, Kenneth, and Jon Carriglitto of the Nashville area; sister, Melissa Shoen of the Chattanooga area; many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins in Minersville, Pennsylvania; and a lifetime of friends.
