Michael Wayne Casey

December 23, 1955 — November 30, 2011

Michael Wayne “Tiny” Casey, 55, of Lake City, died Wednesday at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Jonesboro, Mike lived much of his life there before moving to Lake City five years ago. He was medically retired from Arkansas-Northeastern College in Blytheville where he worked 25 years as an instructor in the Truck Driving program.

Mike was a member of First Assembly of God in Lake City where he was a deacon, the Northeast Arkansas Transportation Association, and was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Martha Stewart Casey and by a brother, Elvin Casey.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Rose Casey of the home;

1 son and daughter-in-law: Michael Derek and Misty Casey of Lake City;

2 daughters and son-in-law: Angelia and Jeff Guthrie of Bald Knob, and Marcie Casey of Lake City;

4 sisters: Marie Barnard of Vilonia, Louise Clements of Conway, and Mary Lou Dennison and Lorine Richie, both of Bay; and

4 grandchildren: Michael Aaron Casey, Dawson Blake Casey, Lora Michelle Casey and Caleb Todd Guthrie; and another grandchild to be born soon.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Nicky Fletcher officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held Friday from 12 noon until service time in Emerson Chapel.
