Michael Anthony Sharp

Michael Anthony Sharp, 21, of Jonesboro, died Saturday morning. He was born in Jonesboro and lived here his entire life. He loved hunting, fishing, and horseback riding and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

He is survived by his parents, Tony & Paula Sharp; his brother, Will Sharp, all of Jonesboro; his fiancée, Savana Smith, Cash; his maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Jansen; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Sharp, both of Jonesboro; and a host of cousins, family members, and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William “Bill” Jansen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Mark Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Damien Escue, Garrett Alexander, David Baty, David “Elk” Alexander, Eddie Ishmael, and Brandon Edwards.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tyson Byard, Kyle Gipson, Will Sharp, Shon Hester, Noel Bullard, Brett Hamrick, and Seth Barr.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m.
