Mike Berry, 75, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Sunday evening, Januray 15, 2006, at his home.
Born in Jonesboro, Mr. Berry lived most of his life in California and Arkansas. He was an Aerospace Engineer, Actor and Artist. He attended the University of San Diego and was an Air Force veteran.
He was a member of the Jonesboro Elks Lodge and was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Sybil Hickey Berry, and by a brother, Hank Berry.
Survivors include:
Son and Daughter-in-law: Andy and Jennifer Berry of Palo Alto, California;
His former wife: Kay Anderson of Las Vegas;
Sister: Marion Bridger of Jonesboro;
2 Cousins: Dr. Tom Hickey of Germantown, Tennessee, and
Mary Lou Fleming of Jonesboro;
4 Nieces: Judy Furr, Donna Harris, Jean Sisk, and Jane Stephens; and
2 Nephews: Bill Berry and Mike Bridger.
The family will receive friends and visitors Thursday afternoon from 1:00-3:00 at the home of Judy Furr, 2205 Oak Hollow Cove in Jonesboro.
Services and burial will be private.
Because Mike Berry’s grandfather, L.D. Hickey, was Jonesboro’s first and longest-serving fire chief, the family requests that lasting memorials be given to the Jonesboro Fire Department Fire Safety Fund, 3215 E. Johnson, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
