Michael Lynne George

Michael Lynne George, 65, of Jonesboro, passed away on September 16, 2024 at St Bernards Medical Center. Michael was born in Swifton on January 16, 1959, to the late Kenneth and Rose Pearline George. In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his brother, Larry George; sister, Wanda Butler; brother-in-law, Doug Butler; grandson, Chance Stovall; and nephew, Dewayne George.

Michael was born and raised in Arkansas, growing up in Swifton. After high school, he took the necessary steps to become an HVAC technician. Michael moved to Dallas in his twenties until he returned to Arkansas over a decade ago. He spent most of his professional career in maintenance and HVAC systems. In his free time, Michael loved the outdoors. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, which he shared with his children and grandchildren. Michael also enjoyed sports. In his youth, he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. However, he transitioned to watching the Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorbacks as he aged. Most importantly, Michael loved being with his family.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Cleary (Cornelius) of Jonesboro and Kelly Stovall (Robbie) of Dallas; brother, Ray George (Mary) of Swifton; sisters Vickie Thompson (Larry) of Swifton and Sheila Mross of Weiner; and grandchildren, Coby Crite, Charity Stovall, and Chase Stovall.
