Michael Everett Lane, 34, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident south of Jonesboro.
Born in Paragould, Michael lived most of his life in Brookland before moving to Jonesboro in 1994. He was a 1993 graduate of Brookland High School and was a member of Finch Baptist Church.
Michael was a member of the Special Olympics Area 7 Track and Field, Swimming and Softball teams. He loved to work jig saw puzzles and was an ink pen collector. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Cotton and Emma Dee Rhea Ellington, and by his paternal grandparents: George and Beatrice Lane.
Survivors include:
His mother and step father: Terria and Ron Davison of the home;
His father and step mother: Walter and Beverly Lane of Jonesboro;
1 sister: Alisa Gunn of Jonesboro;
1 step sister: Alexis Rorex of Jonesboro;
2 step brothers and spouse: Brandon and Bernice Davison of Paragould, and
Noah Boyd of Jonesboro;
3 nephews: Caleb Gunn, David Davison and Timmy Masterson;
3 nieces: Katie Gunn, Savannah Davison and Shelby Masterson; and his
Baby dog, Daisy.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Gage officiating. Burial will follow in Clark’s Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include: Terry Songer, Paul Davison, Mickey Marshall, Wesley Reece, Wayne Reece and Jack Ellington.
Honorary pallbearers include: members of the Special Olympics Tornadoes Softball Team.
Visitation will be held Saturday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
