Michael "Doug" Douglas Langston

Doug Langston, 71, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at Regional One Health in Memphis. He was born September 16, 1951 in Harrisburg to the late Bryan and Emagean Langston. Doug grew up in Lawrence County area where he also went to school. He was of the Assembly of God faith. Doug worked for the Human Development Center in Jonesboro for 18 years. He enjoyed riding horses and he also showed them.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Marvin, Ervin and Harold Langston and 2 sisters, Agnes Davis and Becky Richie.

Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Langston; 6 brothers: David Langston of Hoxie, Bill Langston of Jonesboro, Jimmy Langston of Bono, Johnny Langston of Jonesboro, Phillip Langston of Jonesboro, Terry Langston (Sandra) of Bono and 4 sisters: Faye Benson of Harrisburg, Betty Garner of Walnut Ridge, Dorothy Smith of Trumann and Jo Ann Richmond of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jeff Miles, Bro. Mark Hunt and Bro. Bruce Duncan officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Sulphur Rock Cemetery.
