Michael Wayne Barton

Michael Wayne Barton, 35, of Jonesboro passed from this life October 24, 2015 in Memphis. He was born January 29, 1980 to Terry and Lesia Barton here in Jonesboro. Michael lived his entire life residing in Jonesboro and was of the Christian belief. He was a very hard working, loving, kind, and generous man. Michael was a great mechanic who loved riding and working on motorcycles especially his own and he also built his very own car. He was such a family man and was loved by so many people. Michael also enjoyed watching MMA fighting and Nascar racing.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Eugene Prine; and his paternal grandparents: Ed and Lucille Barton.

Michael is survived by his father: Terry Barton of Jonesboro; mother: Lesia Barton of Hoxie; paternal grandmother: Edith Gatlin; two sons: Hayden and Braxton Barton both of Jonesboro; one daughter: Michaela Barton of Jonesboro; one brother: Terry (Amy) Barton of Jonesboro; one sister: Crystal Barton of Jonesboro; and a host of family, friends and will be missed dearly by all.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Frank Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Randy Mitchell, Jeremy Mangrum, Billy Bell, Wade Gregory, Joey Seymour, and Jeremy Irvin, Jeremy Morgan, and Crandle Treat.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Barton, Billy Ford, John Harrison, and Jason Treat.
