Michael Ray Barber

Michael Ray Barber, 40 of Jonesboro, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro for the past eight years, moving here from Trumann, Arkansas. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ at Hoxie. Michael was the former pastor of the Trumann Revival Center. He was a talented musician and singer. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Virginia Barber.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Tonya Barber of the home; brothers, David Barber of San Antonio, Texas; Everett Barber of Jonesboro; Danny Trapp of Etowah, Arkansas; sister, Bonnie Johnson of Marked Tree and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Rebecca LaPiro with Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers are Michael Schales, Scotty Schales, John Gray, Josh Niswonger, Nathan Russell, and Nathaniel Gray with burial in Pine Log Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 Tuesday night at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
