Michael Robert Allen Sr.

Michael Robert Allen Sr., 77, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday May 28, 2019 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born May 17, 1942 in Ayer, Massachusetts to the late Robert and Ellie Allen.

Michael has lived in Jonesboro for 10 years but is from Athol, Massachusetts and has lived all up and down the east coast due to his line of work. Michael was a hard worker who started working at age 9. He was a truck driver, drove a cab and also had a lawn business. Michael was a joker but was a friend to anyone he met and would help out anyone day or night, no matter what.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, as well as several siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline Allen, of the home; 9 children; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren as well as a brother and several sisters.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 2-4 pm at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
