Michael Lynn Alexander

April 19, 1952 — October 9, 2012

Cherokee Village – Michael Lynn Alexander, 60, born April 19, 1952, in Newport to Troy Otis Alexander and Dovie Alene Gist, was raised in Swifton and lived most of his life in Jonesboro. He died Tuesday, October 9, at his home. Michael was a Cherokee Village Police Officer and a Mason.

He retired from Southwestern Bell prior to becoming a police officer.

Survivors include daughters Jackie Brickey of Jonesboro and Kasey (Adam) Carter of Cherokee Village;

granddaughters Kylie and Courtney Brickey of Jonesboro and Addaline Carter of Cherokee Village;

sisters Claudette Hackworth of Pocahontas and Linda Clayton of North Little Rock; brothers David Brown of Swifton, Joe and David Alexander of Cash and nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Emerson Funeral Home in
Jonesboro.

Funeral will be there at 10 a.m. Friday with Chris Clem officiating. Burial will be in Swifton City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Steve Barkley, Randy Jumper, Ronnie Russell, Monte Lane, Wendell Lane, Bryan Buchanan, Chris Spurlock, and Shane Hightower. Honorary pallbearers include Keith Neely and Michael Barkley.
