Menda M Bushong

Menda M. Bushong, 90, of Jonesboro died Saturday August 6, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Place in Jonesboro.

She was born in Okean, Arkansas and had lived in Jonesboro since 1950. She was a nurse assistant and of the Baptist belief. She enjoyed working as a nurse’s aide and taking care of people.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jackson Bushong, son, James Edgar Bushong and one daughter, Jeanette Vandiver.

Survived by her sons, J.T. Bushong of Alabama, Arthur Ray Bushong of Michigan City, Indiana,
Jackie Leon Bushong of Dardanelle and Bobby Ray Bushong of Jonesboro.

Daughters, Annette Bunch of Searcy, Wanda Stahl of Harrisburg, Genevieve Hancock of Jonesboro and Carolyn Lemons of Jonesboro.

38 grandchildren and many great - grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday August 9, 2011 in Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Nettleton Cemetery, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Bittle and Carl Eudy.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday August 9, at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
