Melissa Ann Perrin

November 8, 1974 — October 26, 2025

Jonesboro

Melissa Ann Perrin, 50, of Jonesboro, peacefully departed this life into her Savior’s arms on Saturday, October 26, 2025, at her home. She was born November 8, 1974, to Harold and Susan Perrin at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Melissa was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church and a woman of many talents. She enjoyed her horses and loved competing in horse shows. A gentle soul with a deep love for animals, she found joy in caring for her dogs, African birds, and every creature that crossed her path. She had an endless imagination, and everybody loved Melissa.

She had a natural instinct for nurturing, whether it was comforting a loved one or caring for her family. She always put others first, often sacrificing her own needs to ensure those she loved were safe, happy, and cared for. Melissa also had a remarkable talent for writing and dreamed of publishing a book one day. Her greatest joy in life was her son, Jaxon.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Betty and Alvin Perrin, and her maternal grandparents, Ella and Clarence Sellers.

Left to treasure her memory are her devoted parents, Harold and Susan Perrin; the love of her life for over ten wonderful years, Blake Nichols; her son, Jaxon Reed of Jonesboro; and her beloved brother, Mark Perrin, and his wife, Traci, of Jonesboro. She also leaves behind two nieces and a nephew, as well as great-grandnieces and a lifetime of dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, laughter, sense of humor, and generous heart.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel. All other services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Melissa’s memory to the NEA Humane Society or the Nettleton Baptist Church Building Fund—two causes that reflect her love, faith, and compassion.
