Melinda Star Dillon, 43, of Trumann passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Melinda loved to make others smile, whatever she did in life, she did with her whole heart. She loved animals, enjoyed traveling, listening to music and visiting others. Melinda was very talented when it came to homemaking. She was amazing in the kitchen; you could give her random ingredients and she would cook the best meals that would always leave you wanting more! Melinda's smile would brighten any room, her sense of humor and contagious laugh is something that will never be forgotten. More than anything, Melinda had a love for God and wanted to make sure that others did too. Over the last few years, she spent a lot of time ministering to others. She strived to learn from her past mistakes and give people hope for the future through Christ.
Melinda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Paul and Susie Garner and paternal grandparents Cotton and Ann Dillon.
Survivors include her parents, Vanessa Dillon of Trumann and Wayne Dillon of Paragould; daughter, Shandi Volner of Russellville; son, Lane Parrish (Clarissa) of Paragould; granddaughter Jessica Parrish and another granddaughter on the way; siblings, Stephanie Bowman of Jonesboro, Megan Dillon, John Dillon (Lana), Jody Dillon (Karen) of Paragould and Mandy Parten (Craig) of Metairie, Louisiana; uncles Andy Garner (Angie) of Lake City, Danny Garner of Trumann, Rodney Garner (Julie) of Jonesboro and Anthony Garner (Tommie) of Jonesboro and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Honorary pallbearers include Andy Garner, Rodney Garner, Anthony Garner, Jathan Dillon, John Dillon, Jody Dillon, Jody Garner, and Wayne Dillon.
