Melba J. Cole

Melba Jane Cole, 66, of Jonesboro passed from this life Friday afternoon, December 2, 2022 at St. Bernard’s Hospital. She was born August 27, 1956 in Jonesboro to the late Robert B Cole Sr. and Mary Jane Cole.  She lived in Jonesboro her entire life where she was also a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. In addition to Melba’s parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Robert B. Cole Jr., Carl L. Cole, Patricia E. Sumpter, and Patrick D. Cole.

Melba is survived by one brother, Michael J. (Wanda) Cole of Texas, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Melba loved her church and life group where she was a longtime member. She was an animal lover; cats were her favorite. She enjoyed working puzzles and going to Harmony House where she had many friends. She worked for ADT for 15 years.

Visitation will be Saturday December 10, 2022 at 9:00 -10:00 am at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR. Processional from Emerson’s to Philadelphia Cemetery with graveside service at 10:30 am.

Pallbearers will include: Cole Robert Davison,  Russel Bryant Cole, Cody Davison, James Clark, Colby Price, and Patrick Dru Davison.
