Melanie Lynn Rogers

Melanie Lynn Rogers, 44, of the Lunsford Community, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 , at her home. She had lived in the Lunsford area most of her life and was a devout Christian, amazing mom, sister, aunt and friend. She excelled in surgical technology, as a flight attendant, and managed Isaac Hayes Restaurant and cookware store in Memphis. Melanie was the inspiration and motivation for the neurological nursing endeavors of her only daughter Tiffany. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Brown.

Survivors include her daughter, Tiffany Hoke, Tucson, Arizona; her mother, Cepriana “Sue” Brown, Lunsford; brothers, Vincent Brown and Anthony Brown, Jonesboro; sisters, Edna Moore, Harrisburg, Arkansas; Diane Underwood, Paragould, Arkansas; Annette Brown, Bay, Arkansas; life-long friend, Harvey Rogers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Friday, June 4, 2010,at 10:00 A.M. at the Bay First Baptist Church with Brother Danny Taylor officiating and burial to be private. Emerson Funeral Home is the serving funeral home.
