Melanie Hedger Lunsford, 34, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday evening at her home of natural causes.
A native and life-long resident of Jonesboro, Melanie was a production assistant for Quebecor World in Jonesboro and was a member of Fisher Street United Methodist Church. She was a 1991 graduate of Jonesboro High School and a 1996 graduate of Arkansas State University.
Melanie was a volunteer with Make-A-Wish and was preceded in death by her grandparents: Laymon “Blackie” Richardson, O.O. Hedger and Christine Hedger Bell; great grandparents: George and Alice Lancaster; and grandparents-in-law: Francis and Capitola Cook and Arthur and Olive Lunsford.
Survivors include:
Husband: Jeff Lunsford of the home; and
Son: Crae Lunsford,
Daughter: Ariel Lunsford,
Parents: Ronnie and Alice Richardson Hedger,
Sister and brother-in-law: Stephanie and Michael Privett,
Grandson: Zane David Lunsford,
Maternal grandmother: Georgia Lancaster Richardson,
Paternal grandfather: Edgar Bell,
Father-in-law and mother-in-law: Waymon and Mary Lunsford,
Sister-in-law: Barbara Holt, and
Brother-in-law: Thomas Lunsford, all of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, April 29, 2007, at 2:00, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Hunt and Rev. Charles Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include: Keith Nelson, James Ray Griffin, Chris Hedger, Dustin Hedger,
Ron Bullock and Paul Harrison.
Visitation will be held Saturday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
