M.E. Hardin

May 27, 1925 — March 10, 2006

M.E. “Bud” Hardin, 81 of Jonesboro died Friday March 10, 2006 at his residence.

He was born in Weiner, Arkansas and a lifetime residence of Jonesboro. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Buctons Mining Company which later became the St. Francis Material Co. He was also a retired Sanitation Superintendent for the City of Jonesboro where he had worked from 1974 – 1988. He also attended the Strawfloor Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Maxine Hardin, and his parents Arthur F. “Pat” Hardin and Elizabeth LaGore Hardin Freeman.

Survivors include;

Son and daughter-in-law; Jim and Micah Hardin of Jonesboro

Daughters and son-in-law; Patty and Bill Hutson of Jonesboro
Diane and Danny Johnson of Jonesboro

Sister; Mary Elizabeth Hendrix of Jonesboro

6 Grandchildren; Crystal and Scott Gammill, Eddie and Lesley Hutson, Josh Johnson, Tim Hardin, Ben and Melissa Hardin, Zach Irwin

5 Great Grandchildren; Chase Hutson, Chloe Hutson, Cody Gammill, Mason Gammill, Jacquelyn Gammill

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday March 13, 2006 at the Strawfloor Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Russell, Rev. Ted Shields and Bro. Paul Vincent officiating.

Burial will be at the Strawfloor Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge.

Active Pallbearers will be Rick Earnhart, Jack Haskins, W. N. “Dub” Johnson, Dewayne Pierce Sr., Dewayne Pierce Jr. Kevin Pierce, Bob Foster

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday March 12, 2006 at the Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro
