Maxine Myers Steele

Maxine Myers Steele, 89, of Jonesboro died Sunday May 31, 2010 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.

She was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas and had lived in Jonesboro since 1963, was a school teacher and a member of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tom Steele and her second husband John C. Steele, parents Burch L. and Willie Terry Myers, one son Tommy Steele, one sister, Maida Elliott and two brothers; Chester and Charles Myers.

Survived by two sons; Keith Steele and wife Patricia of Marked Tree.
Jim Steele and wife Thelma of Jonesboro.

Step-sons; Michael Steele and John Steele both of Florida.
Step daughter; Karen Steele of Florida.

One Brother Bill Myers and wife Mariam of Mt Home.

Two sisters; Joyce Healy of N. Little rock and Verna Manning of Houston, Texas

Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday June 3, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
