Maxine Burcham, 80, of Jonesboro died Friday December 25, 2009 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born in Arbyrd, Missouri, and had lived in Jonesboro since1961.
She was a retired nurse’s aide for Craighead County Nursing Home for 25 years and a member of Nettleton Baptist Church. Maxine love to cook, loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed all of the holidays. On Friday December 25, Christ got Maxine for his Birthday and Maxine also got Christ for Christmas, the best present anyone could ever ask for.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Burcham, three brothers, and one sister.
Survived by her two sons; Larry Burcham and wife Patty of Jonesboro and Randy Burcham and wife Tara of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
One brother; Thomas Clark of Kennett, Missouri.
Two sisters; Wanda Moody of Kennett, Missouri and Mabel Brock of Jonesboro.
One grandson Chad Burcham and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Nettleton Baptist Church, with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.m. Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro
Active pallbearers will be Jessie Hanks, Gary Parnell, Jeff Mead, Steven Tidwell, Wayne Parnell and Jeremy Parnell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Tidwell, Johnny Moore, Rusty Grigsby, Jerry Wells, Bud Reece and Fidels I Sunday School Class.
