Max Vernon Tarkington

Max Vernon Tarkington, 74 of Jonesboro passed from this life March 11, 2022 at NEA Baptist Hospital.  He was born November 28, 1947 to the late Irven and Clara Chapman Tarkington in Casa Grande, Arizona.  Max proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He owned his own construction and trucking company.  Max was a member Central Baptist in Paragould.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking care of his horses, enjoyed fishing, ministering to people and most of all he loved his family.  Max is preceded in death by his parents and a sibling.

Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Trish Tarkington of the home; 2 sons, Max “Skip” (Whitney) Tarkington of Arab Alabama, Casey Tarkington of Flippin; daughter, Amy (Joe) Hensley of Brookland; bonus children, Jason (Micah) Arnold of Brookland and David (Ashley) Arnold of Benton; 3 brothers, Calvin (Cindy) Tarkington of Dryer, Arkansas, David (Emma) Tarkington of Jonesboro and Charles (Nila) Tarkington of Monette; 2 sisters, Donna (Pat) Turnage of Harrisburg, Jeanie Carrol of Harrisburg and 10 grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service announced at a later date.  Burial will be private.
