Max Lee Herndon, 71, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Friday, December 28, 2018, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Springfield, Missouri, Max lived much of his life in Jonesboro. He was a retired business manager for Baldwin Oil Company in Jonesboro and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, motocross, horseback riding and working in his yard. Max also enjoyed spectator sports and watching NASCAR racing on television. He was preceded in death by his father, Max Jay Herndon, mother, Marie Louise Herndon Baldwin, step father, George F. Baldwin and son, James David Herndon.
Max Lee Herndon was a loving husband and father.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sandra Caldwell Herndon of the home;
2 sons, Marty Herndon of Pueblo, Colorado and Chad Herndon of Jonesboro;
1 brother and sister-in-law: Larry and Melissa Baldwin of Jonesboro;
5 grandchildren and their spouses: Tiffany and Danny Painter, Jessika and Clint Carter, Trent and Michelle Herndon, Cody Herndon and Jared Herndon; and
6 great grandchildren.
All services will be private. There will be no visitation.
