Maudie May King

Maudie May King, 75, passed from this life July 24, 2017 at Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Michigan City, Indiana surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Vernie and Maude Moore March 31, 1942 in Trumann. Maudie lived the majority in New Buffalo, Michigan after coming from Trumann. She enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors in her yard. Maudie was an avid animal lover, especially her favorite dog Buster. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Maudie is preceded in death by her brother: Ernie Moore and son: Lonnie King.

Maudie is survived by her three daughters: Marcy Spears of Jonesboro, Wanda King of Lake City, and Jane Wewers of Jonesboro; Ten grandchildren: Shane Overman, Chelsea Wewers, Aaron Wewers, Justin Wewers, Ryan King, Derrick King, Nicole Springer, David Campbell, Brandon Campbell, and Courtley Johnson; eighteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild,

A visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 pm Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 2:30 pm Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home with brother Wynndel King officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
