Maude I. Campbell Cast, 76, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born in Canastota, New York, Maude moved from New York to Searcy, Arkansas in 1978 and then to Jonesboro in 2004. She was a homemaker and attended Living Word Church in Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edyth Teachout Campbell, by a son, John Cast, by a daughter, Rose Marie Cast, by a brother, George Edward Campbell, Jr., and by 2 sisters, Ola Nicholson and Irene Nicholson.
She was Momma to many and gave her love freely to all who needed it. Her loving children include 3 sons: Dr. Clint Relyea of Jonesboro, and Robert Kimpton and Scott Cast, both of Romance, Arkansas;
4 daughters, Lori Eckert of Searcy, Julie Robbins of Romance, Kelly Kimpton of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Trisha Knight of Marshall, Arkansas;
A foster daughter, Gracie Woods of Edgewater, Florida;
1 brother, Eugene Campbell of Sherrill, New York;
2 sisters, Edna M. Brown of Kirkville, New York and Betty Allen of Oneida, New York;
11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 4 “grand dogs” Abby, Tito, Shay and Maria.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Freddy Bowen officiating. Following the service, Maude’s body will be cremated and following her wishes, she will be at rest in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Romance, and Oak Wood Cemetery in Chittenango, New York.
Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 in Emerson Chapel.
Maude was larger than life; an irrepressible spirit with fearless wit. She will live on in all the lives she touched.
