Mattie Pearl Drew

Mattie Pearl Drew, 82, of Jonesboro, passed away on April 18, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Mattie was born in Chicot County, AR, on December 26, 1942, to the late Wade and Octavia Glass. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, S.L. Drew; her brothers, John L. Glass, Johnny B. Glass, Otis Lee Glass, Willie B. Glass, and Wade Glass Jr.; and her sisters, Lillie Strong, Lucille Griffin, and Betty Jean Glass.

Mattie was a wonderful woman devoted to the teachings of Jehovah. She loved the field ministry and spreading the gospel of her Lord. Outside of her faith, Mattie found peace and happiness by fishing as much as she could. The strong love she had for her family filled her heart with joy. Mattie's family and Lord Jehovah were the two most important things in her life.

Mattie is survived by her daughter, Linda Carter (Ernest) of Jonesboro; stepdaughter, Patricia Drew of Eudora, AR; stepson, Frederick Dunbar (Annette) of Hernando, MS; grandchildren, Mattie Parker (Zack), Patricia Davis (Frankie), Belinda Jordan, Ernest Carter Jr., Chadyja Carter, Edward Drew, and Jessica Drew; great-grandchildren, Calvin Plummer, Tyrek Plummer, Caliana Plummer, Keyuna Britt, Nevaeh Carter, and Colton Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on April 26, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Jonesboro, AR, at 1:00 p.m., with Frederick Allen delivering the eulogy.
