Matthew D Williams

Matthew Williams, 54, was called home on March 14th, 2025.

Matthew had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished the time he spent hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed gaming, flying his drone, and, above all, creating lasting memories with his family. Matthew was employed with City of Bono for 11 years, which he loved. He had a Baptist belief and loved the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Williams; his grandparents, Deloris Essary, James Harley, Martha Williams and Harold Williams.

Matthew is survived by his son, Joseph Amaro (Christan) of Illinois; his grandchildren, Natalie Amaro and Jackson Amaro of Illinois; his father, Bobby Williams of Bono, AR; his sisters, Becky Mares(David) and Lisa Williams(Alfredo), both of Jonesboro, AR; his brother, Tony Williams of Jonesboro, AR; and his nephews, Austin Mares (Eiannah), Nicolas Mares, Mateo Williams, and Armando Williams, all of Jonesboro, AR.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Emerson Funeral Home from 10 am to 11 am. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Trinity Cemetery in Bono with Pastor Albert Camp officiating. Pallbearers include Bobby Williams, Mateo Williams, Alfredo Arcos, Nicolas Mares, Austin Mares, and David Mares.
