Matthew Tyler Middleton, 28, of Jonesboro, died Saturday evening in Paragould from injuries sustained in a car accident.
A native and life-long resident of Jonesboro, Matthew was a medical engineer for NEA Baptist Medical Center in Jonesboro. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and target shooting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He simply never met a stranger.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold C. Middleton, and great grandfathers: Oliver Williford and Floyd Chappell.
Survivors include his wife, Lora Hill Middleton, of the home;
father, Mike Middleton (Heather) of Marianna;
mother, Wanda Parsons (Norman Guerrero) of Hayward, California;
brother, Jon Middleton of Minneapolis, Minnesota;
half brother, Reed Middleton of Marianna;
grandmother, Barbara Watson (Johnny) of Wynne;
great grandmother, Inola Chappell of Wynne;
cousins: Taylor Musgrove (Andrew) of Little Rock and Riley Adams of Jonesboro;
aunts and uncles: Kevin and Tina Middleton Adams of Jonesboro and Eddie and Shawna Middleton of Horseshoe Bend;
father-in-law and mother-in-law: Scott and Shirley Hill of Jonesboro; and
honorary grandmother, Marcie Watts.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers include Josh Campbell, Dustin Campbell, Aaron Grafton, Travis Wood, Andrew Musgrove and Logan Hart. Honorary pallbearers include Jon Middleton, Chuck Dill, Brian Robinson, Larry McIlvoy, Kip Hatch, Rich Green and Keith Gregory.
