Matthew Rouse, 44, of Jonesboro, died Monday afternoon from injuries sustained in a fall in Jonesboro.
Born in Trumann, Matthew lived in Wynne before moving to Jonesboro in 1984. He owned and operated Dish Express, Inc. of Jonesboro and was a member of Shepherd’s Chapel Church at Gravette.
Matthew was an avid hunter, a motocross enthusiast, a member of the Jonesboro Elks Lodge, and was preceded in death by his father, Lester Rouse.
Survivors include: His Wife: Sherrie Slocum Rouse of the home;
1 Son: Benjamin Matthew Rouse, age 16, of the home;
1 Daughter: Lydia Lynn Rouse, age 10, of the home;
His Mother and Step Father: Joyce and Gary Hogan of Cherry Valley;
2 Sisters and brother-in-law: Cheryl and John Roberts of Trumann, and Sondra Tolliver of Amarillo, Texas;
His Father-in-law: Grover Slocum of Wynne;
His Mother-in-law and her husband: Mary and Larry Pitts of Harrisburg;
3 Nieces: Carin McClung, Mallory Roberts and Roclyn Tolliver; and 1 Nephew: Morgan Blade Tolliver.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 at Slocum Cemetery east of Tilton with Rev. Glen South officiating.
Honorary pallbearers include: Junior Garcia, Mark Taylor, Mark Weaver, Arnold Weaver, Jimmy Champion, Greg Hogg, Phil Ellis, Brad Aiken, and John Roberts.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
