Matt Moody

Matt Moody, 27, of Jonesboro, passed on July 18, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro. He was a member of Jonesboro Baptist Church and loved crappie fishing and hunting. He enjoyed gardening with his daughter Kendra and riding 4 wheelers with his family. Matt had a great love for the outdoors but his greatest love of all was his family, especially his beloved daughter and wife. He was an amazing uncle who loved them like his own.

He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Sheena Moody; his beautiful daughter, Kendra Moody; his brother and sister-in-law, Sam & Rachel Moody, all of Jonesboro; and 7 nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents, Garrison & Judy Moody.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Randall Moody officiating. Dr. Gary Winters will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers include Danny Bowles, Jason Lammers, Leo Pacheco, Jerrod Rainwater, Lee Thompson, and Blaine Kiech. Honorary pallbearers are Sam Moody and Cletius Meaders.

Visitation will be Friday 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
